Harbour House will be filled with festive cheer and creativity as we host a day of free, family-friendly activities across our building. Everyone is welcome to take part — no booking required. Come along, explore, and celebrate the season with us.

Christmas Card Printing Workshop

12pm – 3pm | Ground Floor Gallery

Drop into the gallery to design and print your very own Christmas card with returning artist Llyr Davies. Llyr will demonstrate how to create unique designs using a watercolour monotype technique — a simple, engaging process similar to painting. This informal and mindful workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced creatives alike, and you can take part at your own pace.

Llyr is no stranger to Harbour House — he previously exhibited with us earlier this year and led printmaking workshops for the closing event of our Community Programme exhibition The Bird and the Rhino. We’re delighted to welcome him back to the gallery for this festive edition!

(Please note: under 12s should be accompanied by an adult.)

Festive Family Portraits

12pm – 3pm | Quay Lane Ground Floor Studio

We’re teaming up artists with learning differences from Activities 115/Learn Devon , who took part in our photography workshops earlier this year, and professional photographer Dom Moore, to offer free festive family portraits!

The group from Activities 115/Learn Devon joined our project earlier in the year — a creative journey split into two halves: three sessions of digital portrait photography with Dom Moore, and three sessions of film and outdoor photography with Ellie Robinson-Carter, supported by our wonderful Assistant Producer, Jodie Saunders. Their enthusiasm and talent have made this collaboration something truly special.

Strike a pose with your family, friends and even your pets! Our festive portrait studio is run by professional photographer Dom Moore in collaboration with adults with learning differences from Activities 115, who took part in our Harbour House photography workshops earlier this year.
