Rhys Morgan worked with three groups of young people; hosting workshops in which the young people write their own sea shanties celebrating their identities and Kingsbridge,
He worked with Kingsbridge Community College’s LGBTQIA+ club, singing and making a new shanty with 35 year 7 to year 9 students, and with the Creative Leadership group of sixth formers who are working with Harbour House on a longer term community engagement project. Rhys and Harbour House also worked in partnership with with FAST (Family Advice Support Team), which will support and test a new school youth group specifically for LQGBTIA+ young people.

About the Artist
Morgan lives and works in Plymouth. He recently completed an MFA at Goldsmiths and was selected for New Contemporaries, a prestigious annual survey exhibition of emerging and early career artists from UK art schools, which opens at Camden Art Centre on 19 January 2024 .
Alongside his artistic practice, Morgan has worked extensively as a producer working with diverse communities in Plymouth and beyond with Take A Part and has recently been appointed as Assistant Curator, The National Gallery and The Box.
