November was a vibrant and joy-filled month at Harbour House. Across the six free workshops and events we hosted, we welcomed a fantastic 83 participants, all bringing their own curiosity and enthusiasm. We were delighted to work with three different community groups throughout the month, including learners from Learn Devon, adults over 55, and members of the general public. Their diverse experiences and perspectives helped make each session lively, creative, and meaningful.

Our programme offered a rich mix of activities. We kicked things off with an exhibition opening and followed it with a guided exhibition tour, giving visitors the chance to explore the artwork in more depth. We also ran an easy-read writing session that encouraged participants to slow down and express themselves, along with our popular Move and Make workshops, which blended movement and creativity in a warm, welcoming environment. Each event brought people together in different ways, and we loved seeing new connections form throughout the month.

We’re always grateful to hear how participants experience our events, and the feedback this month was especially heartwarming. One attendee shared, “I have been looking forward to this all week,” while another said, “This has been calming and interesting.” Comments like these remind us why we do what we do and inspire us to continue creating inclusive, accessible opportunities for everyone.

There’s plenty more to come, so keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming free participation workshops. You can stay up to date by following Harbour House on Instagram and Facebook, or by checking our website and Eventbrite page — all links are in our bio.

Thanks to everyone who joined us in November. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon!
