Community Workshop Round-Up – March 2026
March has been another vibrant and inspiring month at Harbour House. We were delighted to welcome 184 participants across eight free workshops and events, working alongside five different community groups.
Over the month, we collaborated with:
- Year 4 students from Kingsbridge Community Primary School
- Adults with learning disabilities and differences
- Socially isolated adults
- Adults interested in wellbeing
- Local families
We are proud to be delivering regular workshops for these groups, and it’s a real privilege to see familiar faces returning each month. Watching confidence grow, connections deepen, and creativity flourish over time is exactly why this work matters.
Alongside our regular programme, we also hosted two special celebration events in our gallery. These included the KCC opening event for family and friends, as well as a fantastic performance by the Co-motion Club from the KCPS after-school club — joyful moments that brought participants’ creativity to life and gave them the chance to share their work with others.
What We’ve Been Creating
Our March sessions offered a range of creative and wellbeing-focused activities, including:
- Mindful Movement workshops designed to support wellbeing and encourage gentle, accessible physical expression
- An exhibition celebration, showcasing participants’ creativity and achievements
- Dance and theatre performance sessions, building confidence, collaboration, and performance skills
Each session created space for creativity, connection, and self-expression in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Participant Feedback
We’re always grateful to hear how the workshops impact those who attend. Here’s what one parent shared:
“He never does things like this. He's really been growing in confidence.”
This reflection captures what we strive to create — inclusive spaces where people feel supported to try new things, build confidence, and express themselves.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in March. Your energy, openness, and creativity make these workshops what they are!
Some of these workshops were generously supported by Arts Council England, whose funding helps us continue offering accessible creative opportunities within our community.
