We started the summer with a very busy June at Harbour House.
Throughout the month, we were delighted to welcome 134 participants across 11 free workshops and events, working alongside a range of community groups and local schools.
Who We Worked With:
- General public
- Adults with learning disabilities and differences
- Adults interested in wellbeing
- Year 4 and 5 students from Kingsbridge Community Primary School
- Kingsbridge Community Primary School students and parents
- Kingsbridge Community College students
What We’ve Been Creating
Our June programme offered a diverse range of creative, practical, and wellbeing-focused activities, including:
- Led by local artist Llyr Davies, with students working towards the creation of a mural to be painted in the school (weekly)
- Sessions designed to support wellbeing through gentle movement and creative exploration
- Inclusive workshops combining movement, creativity, and self-expression.
- Delivered in collaboration with dancers Ekleido, encouraging participants to explore movement and visual art together.
Each workshop created welcoming spaces for creativity, confidence-building, and connection, while offering participants the chance to try new experiences in a supportive environment.
Participant Feedback
We are always grateful to hear how these experiences impact those who take part.
'Thoroughly enjoyed attending some of the Mindful Movement sessions which were excellently presented, felt very inspiring and gave me a deep sense of inner wellbeing, at the same time as being able to move my whole body, I experienced a well balanced impact from these sessions'
''I liked all of it, I find it fun and I find it relaxing as well”
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in June. Your enthusiasm, curiosity, and creativity make these workshops what they are.
Some of these workshops were generously supported by Arts Council England, whose funding helps us continue providing inclusive and accessible creative opportunities for our wider community.
