A whole hour of blissful yoga with guided meditation and relaxation. Release, relax and calm your mind and body all to the soothing sounds of Helen Philips and her beautiful hang drum. Yin Yoga is the best way to "Stretch and Zen" and is suitable for beginners and all abilities. Great for reducing stress in the body and mind, and releasing tension that is deeply engrained in your muscles.
What is Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a meditative and gentle style of yoga and was developed to penetrate deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility, which stretches connective tissue around the joints (mainly knees, pelvis, sacrum and spine) whilst invigorating the energy centers of the body to release blockages and increase your energy. The primary differences between Yin Yoga and many other forms of yoga is that you are encouraged to NOT use your muscles and passive poses are held for several minutes.
Benefits of Yin Yoga
Static stretching is excellent to increase range of motion. Therefore if you are tight due to repetitive movement from other sport activities or your day job keeps you in the same position all day, or your body has simply aged – Yin yoga will help stretch it out.
