From the springboard of the Totnes Art and Design Foundation Course, a group of young artists migrated to universities across the country to pursue their studies. They return now to south Devon with a diverse and energetic exhibition that reflects the development of early-career artists in transition as they establish themselves in their respective fields, from sustainable fashion design to ceramics, illustration and fine art.

There is no need to look for a tight theme linking these works: the joy is in the confident assortment of visual language, drawn from emotional, spatial and physical mapping and a range of interrogations of subject.

“The artist collective heralds the necessary way of working in this unprecedented era, prioritising the need for connection and unionisation, engaging the viewer by facilitating a democratic space from which the solitary practice can be expressed and supported.”
