The Friday Life Drawing Group is made up of a diverse collection of people who enjoy and are excited by the challenge of life drawing and painting. As it is a drop-in session the numbers each week can vary, with a core group turning up most weeks, and the models are many and various. Each Friday morning session is set up by a different member of the group, and the number and length of poses varies from one week to the next.

The exhibition gives the group the opportunity to demonstrate its variety and diversity of individual practice.

Drawing from life is not a static process; it involves continual development of work in progress, experimentation with composition, materials, surfaces - and the challenges presented by the form of the human body itself.

The exhibition includes a mix of framed work and less formally presented pieces, and the artists plan to draw one another in the gallery during the week.
