9 February: Freehand Machine Embroidery
A fun day of sewing using the popular freemotion embroidery technique. Continue to hone your own skills or start your textile journey with guidance from Annie who has been using this technique in her artwork for 20 years! Just bring your own machine and leads, any inspiration and some enthusiasm!
30 March: Contemporary Hand Embroidery
During this workshop we will cover some simple hand embroidery techniques and stitches, enjoy the process of slow stitching and seeing a design come to life. Annie has created a fabulous collection of embroidery kits and downloadable pattern designs that can be used as starting points for your unique contemporary embroidery. Many of these will be available for use on the workshop. You will learn how to transfer images to fabric and you could even bring along some clothing to embroider! This full day workshop would make a great gift for someone who would like to learn something new or simply brush up on old skills! Haberdashery items will be available to purchase at the workshop helping you to keep stitching when the class has ended.
Most materials are included and lots of complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits are provided throughout the day! Class groups are deliberately kept small so that everyone will get lots of help and attention. Haberdashery items will be available to purchase at the workshops, helping you to keep stitching when the classes have ended.
