Whether this is your first time on a yoga mat or whether you have a well established personal practice, each of Rachel's sessions is sequenced to include you - all the classes are open to all levels as she will guide you through the sequence of poses offering alternatives to suit all abilities. Each session is an invitation to connect inwards - connecting the movement of body to breath, resting the mind, letting-go, lengthening, strengthening, generating a profound sense of well being. Welcoming wellness into the body and soul.
Rachel's training comes the Himalaya and Mysore traditions. She offers ashtanga-inspired vinyasa flow with iyengar alignment. Every class has a focus on promoting wellness in the body and mind incorporating the traditional values of holistic ashtanga practice: self awareness, posture, breath and meditation within a fluid sequence of asanas (postures). She is an accredited teacher with the Yoga Alliance.
"Rachel is an incredible teacher with a beautiful aura. She radiates calmness, kindness, and understanding. Her voice resonates with a quiet authority and her movements emanate peace while her presence gives space for people to be who they are without judgment. She is a person from whom yoga flows organically, making her a natural and skilled teacher. I would highly recommend her classes - any of them - to any aspiring or practicing yogis, especially those who are interested in learning from a person who embodies the ancient wisdom of yoga."
