Two five week blocks of classes which can be taken as individual blocks or to complement each other.
Block 1:
Making drawings, paintings and collage from seasonal subjects in the studio - these will be tutor led and will include warm up exercises with a range of fun, experimental and observational approaches. There will be plenty of 1:1 support for all, especially beginners. Making a painting or series of coloured studies stemming from work produced in earlier weeks.
Block 2:
The format of Block 1 will be repeated for newcomers and for those who wish to begin with drawing and new ideas again.
Learners continuing from Block 1 who wish to can continue developing their own work more independently in the studio.
These sessions with Suzy will be flexible and adapted to the needs of the students. Sometimes the group will be split into two so that beginners can be taken through some basics and intermediate students can work more independently. These classes have developed into friendly, supportive spaces where regular learners and newcomers are equally welcome to attend.

Please bring some drawing materials and cartridge paper or a sketchbook to the first session. If you are new to painting you can discuss what paint to buy with the tutor at the first session.
